Accomplishments in Racing: Rederstorf began his racing career in 1984 in the Super Stocks division at the Auto City (MI) Speedway back when the Clio, Michigan speed plant was still a dirt track. He ran there until 1986 when the track was paved.

After taking several years off to start a family, he returned to racing in 1994 and from then until 1997, he ran a Limited Late Model at several facilities throughout his home state of Michigan with success.

Rederstorf ran at the following speedways; Michigan Ideal (Now Springport Motor) Speedway, Dixie Motor Speedway, Auto City, Flat Rock Speedway, Owosso Speedway, and even on the Gingerman Road Course. He won his first feature race and was awarded Sportsman of the year at Michigan Ideal, and also won Best looking Car and Crew at Dixie during those years.

From 1998 until 2005, he ran in an Outlaw Bodied Super Late Model in various events at Auto City, Dixie, and he even ventured out of Michigan for the first time when he competed at the Toledo (OH) Speedway. In 1998, he won the Car and Crew Award at Auto City.

2006 saw Rederstorf make the move to the Auto City Pro Late Models (Now Super Stocks) with template body/crate engine rules similar to the ASA Late Model Series. He also made his ASALMS debut during the Mason-Dixon/Dixieland Challenge indoors events at the DeVos (MI) Place in December of 2006 and finished Third in his first ASALMS outing! In 2007, he was awarded the Most Improved Driver at Auto City while finishing Eighth in the final point’s standings.

Heroes: My Dad. He’s taught me how to do a lot with very little and still do it right.
Dream Car: Any car that I didn’t pay for or work on myself, It must go really fast and be red.
Accomplishments in Life: Being married to my wonderful wife for over 20 years and still being able to race during most of them ( I love you honey) I would also have to say putting our two daughters thru college so someday they can make lots of money to help support my future racing career.

Favorite Part About Race Day: Getting to the track and smelling that great race day smell. No, not the track food, but the smell of the race fuel, exhaust and hot tires. Winning is also a favorite part about race day.

Most Noticeable Trait: I’m Helpful and Honest
Pet Peeves: Rude people and slow drivers in the fast lane. GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!!
Something I’d Like to Change About Myself: I could afford to lose a few pounds. More hair would be nice too.

If I Wasn’t Racing, I’d be: Very Bored
Best Part About Being Me: I finish what I start and do what I say I’ll do.
